Elissa is a learning and development professional and has been involved in providing training and consultancy to managers, social care and other professionals working in statutory and independent sector social care, housing and health organisations for over 25 years. As a Senior Consultant at Central Consultancy and Training she manages the company’s social care and health portfolio and team of Associate Consultants.
With a background in local authority social services, Elissa continues to support organisational development in social work departments and the care provider sector in the context of personalisation. Encompassing the development and implementation of procedural changes she has been involved with service development initiatives around enablement; professional skills development to improve decision making and outcomes focussed work. She is currently managing a bespoke, innovative Leadership and Management programme across the whole care provider sector with academic accreditation and ILM endorsement. She is particularly interested in supporting the development of best practice in Governance in the wider care sector.
